Position Overview

The bartender is accountable for the operational duties of the bar, including opening and closing procedures, as well as providing support to Cocktail Servers on the floor as necessary. The goal is to deliver outstanding service to all patrons by consistently providing professional, friendly, and engaging interactions. This role also encompasses bar setup, inventory management, and the development of innovative menu offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the opening and closing operations of the bar, ensuring product security and inventory control. Provide assistance on the floor as needed, ensuring all guest service requests are fulfilled promptly and with a focus on exceeding expectations.
  • Deliver exceptional service to guests, utilizing strong sales techniques to enhance average checks.
  • Create memorable experiences for clients in the lounge environment.
  • Oversee beverage inventory and ordering processes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
  • Drive up-selling initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate handling of all billing transactions.
  • Uphold Service Promise Standards and Values.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a high-volume, upscale dining or lounge setting.
  • Strong knowledge of wines and specialty spirits, with certification in Food & Beverage or Wine Stewarding considered an asset.
  • Proficient with Food & Beverage POS systems.
  • Required certification in responsible liquor service.
  • In-depth knowledge of classic cocktails.
  • Experience in crafting unique cocktails is advantageous.
  • Service-oriented, collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and manages pressure effectively.
  • Ability to perform all physical job functions, including lifting 25+ lbs and standing/walking for extended periods.
  • Proficiency in a second language is a plus.
  • Comprehensive understanding of preparing both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
