Job Overview

Emser Tile LLC, a prominent leader in the distribution of premium ceramic tile and natural stone, is seeking a qualified Warehouse Associate 3 (Picker) to join our team. With over 50 years of consistent growth, we offer immediate opportunities for dedicated professionals. This role is based at our local Distribution Center.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately pick products and construct pallets to meet established standards.
  • Stage products on the shipping dock in accordance with the shipping schedule.
  • Utilize RF scanners to verify product accuracy.
  • Ensure correct shade matching through label verification.
  • Know when to create new license plates and how to properly position them on pallets.
  • Complete and submit breakage sheets daily.
  • Read item labels and identify product types efficiently.
  • Navigate the warehouse with ease.
  • Commit to understanding and promoting Emser Tile's culture and values.
  • Excel in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong organizational skills and goal orientation.
  • Focus on results and maintain a customer-centric approach.
  • Possess knowledge of database and query functions.
  • Interpret and respond to non-verbal communication effectively.
  • Exhibit outstanding leadership qualities, including critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Build trust with internal and external customers through effective communication and relationship-building techniques.
  • Perform basic math functions, including piece to square foot calculations.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills across all organizational levels, both written and verbal.
  • Have 1-3 years of experience in a picking role.
  • Being bilingual in Spanish is an advantage.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in a Distribution Center environment, which may be cold in winter and hot in summer.
  • Ability to function in a loud work setting.
  • Capability to lift weights exceeding 100 pounds.
  • Ability to see and hear effectively.
  • Proficient use of hands and arms.
  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.
  • Capability to bend and kneel as needed.
  • Forklift certification is required.

Additional Information

  • Regular and predictable attendance is essential for this position.
  • This is an hourly role, with a predetermined work schedule that may require additional hours based on business needs.
  • Other tasks may be assigned as necessary.
