Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently pick products and construct pallets to meet established standards.
  • Organize and stage products on the shipping dock in accordance with the shipping schedule.
  • Utilize RF scanners to ensure product accuracy and integrity.
  • Verify shade numbers through label checks to ensure quality control.
  • Identify when to create new license plates and apply them correctly on pallets.
  • Maintain and submit breakage sheets daily.
  • Interpret item labels to accurately identify product types.
  • Navigate the warehouse effectively to optimize workflow.
  • Embrace and promote the culture and values of Emser Tile.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong organizational and goal-oriented skills.
  • Focus on results and customer satisfaction.
  • Possess knowledge of database and query functions.
  • Exhibit the ability to read and respond to non-verbal cues.
  • Showcase outstanding leadership qualities, including critical thinking and decision-making.
  • Build trust with internal and external customers through effective communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in basic math functions, including piece to square foot calculations.

  • Have 1-3 years of experience in a picking role.
  • Being bilingual in Spanish is advantageous.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in a Distribution Center environment, which may be cold in winter and hot in summer.
  • Capable of working in a loud environment.
  • Ability to lift weights exceeding 100 pounds.
  • Good vision and hearing capabilities.
  • Proficient use of hands and arms.
  • Ability to operate a computer for extended periods.
  • Capability to bend and kneel as required.
  • Forklift certification is mandatory.

Additional Information

  • Regular and predictable attendance is crucial for this role.
  • This position is hourly, with a set work schedule that may require additional hours based on business needs.
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.
