About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at Inderjit Singh Gill, Gurjinder Singh. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, cutting and fitting them to meet precise specifications, and ensuring a smooth and even finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Fabrication: Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners, fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids, and place panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
  • Drywall Installation: Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets, positioning and securing them to metal or wooden studs or joists.
  • Opening and Framing: Cut openings in lath for heating and ventilation piping, ducts, and electrical outlets, and install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings.
Work Environment

You will work in a fast-paced commercial and residential construction environment, with various locations and projects. The work site environment is dusty and noisy, and you will be required to work at heights and in confined spaces.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in drywall installation.
  • Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, physically demanding work, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, and tight deadlines.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) of weight.
  • Personal Protective Equipment: Hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, and steel-toed safety boots.
Work Conditions

This is a permanent position, working 40 hours per week. The work language is English, and you will be required to work independently with minimal supervision, with 1 to 2 people on the team.
