Required Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent;
  • Valid Food Handling Certificate;

Experience:

  • Previous experience in organizing recreational activities is beneficial;
  • Experience in long-term care settings and/or with individuals with disabilities is advantageous;
  • Familiarity with personal computers in a Windows environment.

Abilities and Skills:

  • Proficiency in both official languages (French and English) is essential;
  • Physical and mental capability to fulfill job requirements;
  • Ability to implement programs independently or collaboratively;
  • Proven skills in group facilitation;
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with a focus on engaging older adults meaningfully;
  • Capacity to perform various physical tasks as required (e.g., emptying dishwashers, serving food, light cleaning, rearranging furniture, etc.);
  • Ability to maintain a satisfactory employment record, including attendance;
  • Current Criminal Record Check for the Vulnerable Sector and Adult Abuse Registry Check that meets employer standards.

Knowledge:

  • Understanding of Workplace Health and Safety practices;
  • Familiarity with the W.H.M.I.S. program.
