ANALYST 1 – RCAP SECTION, INORGANICS DEPARTMENT
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting various chemical analyses utilizing a colorimetric analyzer according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Preparing and organizing samples and reagents for daily operations.
- Reporting and reviewing analytical results as necessary.
- Maintaining thorough documentation of samples, reagents, and maintenance logs.
Key Accountabilities:
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ensure accurate completion of working records and proper labeling of raw data.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of laboratory spaces.
- Prepare and clean glassware for reagent and standard preparation.
- Organize and prepare samples for analysis on Discrete Analyzer instruments, prioritizing urgent samples to meet client deadlines.
- Create LIMS worksheets for each test, assigning samples and required QC samples.
- Prepare calibration standards, QC samples, and reagents as specified in SOPs, documenting preparation details in the MaxxLIMS Applauncher.
- Perform daily instrument calibrations and maintenance, documenting activities in the Maintenance Log.
- Review analytical data during analysis runs to ensure results meet reporting criteria.
- Document non-conformances and notify senior staff for necessary approvals.
- Upload and report sample results into LIMS worksheets.
- Conduct basic analyses using balances and pipettes.
- Meet quality and turnaround time specifications while ensuring compliance with holding time requirements.
- Provide updates to supervisors regarding workstation status and potential delays.
- Maintain control charts as per QA manual requirements, addressing any discrepancies with supervisors.
- Work in a standard laboratory environment with availability for shifts, overtime, and weekend work as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Possesses a technical diploma (preferred).
- Familiarity with standard operating procedures and instrumental techniques.
