The Department Manager, Construction Support will be responsible for providing oversight, leadership, and engagement in the design and safe delivery of construction programs and projects. This includes organizational planning, staff leadership, and contributing to the development and growth of a Nuclear Safety Culture.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with experience in complex design-build projects in a safety-critical environment. They will also have excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a management team of senior professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight and leadership in the design and safe delivery of construction programs and projects
  • Organize and lead a team of construction professionals
  • Contribute to the development and growth of a Nuclear Safety Culture
  • Oversee the maintenance of compliance with Environmental and Health & Safety regulations
  • Represent the company in matters of construction efforts

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Knowledge and experience with corrective action processes
  • Knowledge of CSA N286-05 and CSA "Management Systems Requirements for Nuclear Power Plants
  • Knowledge of all relevant Environmental and Health & Safety legislation
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a management team of senior professionals
  • Ability to handle a variety of constituencies and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Education and Experience:

  • A period of over 10 years as a mid-level or higher manager in a construction-related function
  • Demonstrable record of delivering engineering and construction services for major, high-value capital construction programs and projects
  • University degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of education and work experience in a related field
