YOUR TEAM

You will be part of a compact yet impactful team that significantly influences the creative direction and decision-making for ongoing projects. This multidisciplinary group consists of developers specializing in Unity, Unreal, and Touch Designer, as well as graphic developers, all dedicated to supporting one another. Each member plays a role in selecting technologies, establishing processes, and developing tools, with a strong emphasis on collaboration through code reviews and constructive discussions.

YOUR ROLE

As the leading authority on Unreal software development at Moment Factory, you will be expected to demonstrate expertise in C++ and Blueprint. Familiarity with communication protocols for systems, sensors, audio, video, and lighting will be advantageous. Your responsibilities will include implementing various APIs essential for project functionality, conducting performance assessments, optimizing processes, and maintaining internal tools. You will collaborate closely with external service providers to ensure technical support and oversight, as well as assist in defining project specifications and requirements. Your development expertise will position you as a consultant for both the Moment Factory team and external partners throughout the software development lifecycle, encompassing analysis, design, programming, testing, version control, packaging, integration, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Adopt and promote best practices in Unreal development;
  • Conduct performance analyses and implement optimization strategies;
  • Coordinate with external partners on technical challenges and Unreal project architecture;
  • Provide support and guidance to external partners utilizing Moment Factory technologies and tools;
  • Contribute to the development and documentation of the internal Unreal Engine tool library;
  • Ensure adherence to software architecture and design principles throughout the delivery process;
  • Assist in diagnosing complex issues and developing effective solutions;
  • Engage in the creative process to propose innovative solutions;
  • Participate in technology monitoring for continuous improvement of processes and technology choices;
  • Contribute to research and development initiatives;
  • Oversee the development of Unreal software functionalities;
  • Create real-time visual effects aligned with artistic goals;
  • Facilitate software communication across various system components;
  • Engage in creative and technological discussions;
  • Support the consistency of user experience.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Unreal development;
  • In-depth knowledge of Unreal Engine and its ecosystem;
  • Strong programming skills in Blueprints and C++ within Unreal;
  • Solid understanding of the rendering pipeline;
  • Experience with nDisplay projects is a notable advantage;
  • Proficiency in version control systems (Git, Perforce);
  • Familiarity with the Atlassian suite (Jira and Confluence);
  • Fluency in both French and English, written and spoken;
  • Good understanding of IT infrastructure and multimedia technologies;
  • Additional skills in audiovisual, network infrastructure, and CI/CD are a plus;
  • Experience collaborating in teams of varying sizes and expertise.
