Your Role

We are seeking a Learning Experience Designer to become an integral part of our Learning & Development team at our National office. This role is essential in crafting, developing, and implementing high-quality, multimedia-rich educational experiences. The ideal candidate will be passionate about designing engaging, learner-focused solutions that utilize cutting-edge video production, eLearning, artificial intelligence, and graphic design. A successful background in the Learning & Development sector is crucial, along with a combination of instructional design skills, creativity, and a comprehensive understanding of adult learning theories and technology-enhanced educational solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize rapid authoring tools such as Articulate and Vyond to create educational solutions and assets that meet technical and graphic standards.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of user experience design processes and best practices to ensure educational experiences are intuitive and engaging.
  • Be proficient in virtual facilitation tools to enhance interaction and collaboration during virtual instructor-led training sessions.
  • Emphasize the integration of emerging technologies, simulations, gamification, and adaptive learning principles into the educational experience.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends and technologies in Learning & Development, User Experience Design, and Learning Experience Design, including AI, video production, and graphic design, and incorporate innovative solutions into the educational design process.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of instructional design principles and methodologies, including the ADDIE model, adult learning principles, interactive learning design, and blended learning strategies.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create interactive and engaging educational experiences, including e-learning modules, instructor-led training, blended learning programs, video content, and support materials.
  • Apply design thinking principles to develop immersive and engaging educational experiences that go beyond traditional instructional content.
  • Act as a strategic partner to assess clients' learning needs and work with stakeholders to define educational objectives and goals.
  • Conduct needs assessments and learner analyses to identify skill gaps and educational requirements.
  • Evaluate feedback and learning data to continuously enhance educational programs and ensure they meet desired outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in developing educational solutions across various modalities, or formal education in multimedia development and visual design.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French is an asset but not mandatory.
  • Advanced skills in development tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, and Vyond (additional expertise in Adobe Creative Suite or other professional design tools or video production tools is beneficial but not required).
  • Practical experience in designing educational solutions from inception to completion.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and manage a creative development process.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
  • A curious mindset with strong critical thinking and analytical skills to drive innovation in our learning and development practices.
