Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Planning Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient and effective production of steel products by developing and implementing comprehensive production plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with various departments, including sales, operations, and engineering, to gather input on production requirements and forecasts.
  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules, taking into account factors such as material availability, equipment capacity, and customer demand.
  • Utilize advanced planning software to optimize production processes and minimize downtime.
  • Monitor production progress closely and identify any potential bottlenecks or delays. Implement corrective actions to ensure timely completion of orders.
  • Analyze production data and generate reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, production efficiency, and inventory levels.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve production planning processes and enhance overall operational efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the steel industry.
  • Strong understanding of production processes, materials management, and inventory control principles.
  • Proficiency in using advanced planning software and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent project management methodologies skills are an asset.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills are required.

  • Office environment
  • This position is eligible for remote work in accordance with our Flexible Work Options Policy

Hours of Work

  • Days, Monday to Friday with extended hours as required due to periods of peak workloads.
