Physiotherapist - Hospital Setting

Calian Group is seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our team on a contractual basis. This is a great opportunity to supplement your existing income and gain experience in a hospital setting.
The ideal candidate will be located in Ottawa, ON, and will have a strong background in physiotherapy. The successful candidate will assess patients' physical and functional abilities, identify causes of deficits, and create personalized treatment plans to help patients improve their independence and function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' physical and functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Deliver physiotherapy and rehabilitation interventions using evidence-based approaches and best practices.
- Obtain and document informed patient consent for assessment and treatment.
- Provide screening assessments, education, and orthoses recommendations in a direct access setting.
- Prescribe exercises to optimally rehabilitate and prevent injuries and promote fitness.
- Provide ergonomics education and on-site assessments in patients' workplaces.
- Provide physiotherapy-related education to patients and healthcare teams on topics such as injury prevention and health promotion.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an educational program approved by the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
- Current license in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in hospital settings.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
Additional Requirements:
- Must have or be willing to obtain an updated Police Check of the Vulnerable Section.
- Must have or be willing to obtain an updated CPR and First Aid - Level C certificate.
- Must have or be willing to obtain an updated TB Test/Chest Xray.
- Must have or be willing to obtain 2 doses of Covid vaccination.
Work Schedule:
The successful candidate will be required to work from Monday – Friday between 8 am to 4 pm or 7.30 am to 5 pm.
