Job Description

Job Summary:

The VDC Coordinator will play a key role in the coordination and assistance of the VDC/BIM development on a project-by-project basis. This individual will work closely with design teams, trade contractors, and operations staff to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Coordination: Lead, coach, and mentor internal project team members to achieve project deliverables.
  • Resource Management: Determine all resources required to complete assigned projects in accordance with project commitments.
  • Pre-Construction Services: Guide the team in the structure and delivery of project bids, budgeting, and other pre-construction services.
  • Client Relationship Management: Manage the client relationship to ensure a great experience and client retention.
  • Value-Based Design: Provide preconstruction leadership to the project team, challenging them to deliver value-based design.
  • Project Execution Plan: Align Project Execution Plan with Chandos' core ideology, providing oversight on project goals, objectives, risks, assumptions, budgets, staffing requirements, responsibility matrix, work breakdown structure, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Safety Culture: Support a safety culture that aligns with corporate strategies and core values.

Qualifications:

  • Technical Diploma: Technical diploma in an appropriate field.
  • Construction Experience: Two or more years' construction experience with a general contractor.
  • Leadership Skills: Superior leadership skills.
  • Relationship Focus: Relationship-focused.
  • VDC Software Competency: Technical competency with VDC software, including (not limited to) REVIT, NAVISWORK, AUTOCAD, etc.
  • Adaptability: Adaptable.
  • Travel Requirements: Occasional travel may be required.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license is required.
