Knowledge Requirements: Familiarity with project management principles and practices in a research and development multi-disciplinary environment is essential for establishing appropriate project structures and timelines, coordinating with stakeholders, and overseeing the work of staff and contractors.
Additionally, a solid understanding of operational and financial management within a large organization, preferably in a Canadian federal government context, is required, including the ability to read and interpret project and financial data.
Presentation Skills: Ability to deliver presentations, provide information, coaching, or training to colleagues or clients.
Process Improvement: Capability to implement new processes, methods, or practices that significantly enhance project management effectiveness is considered an asset.
