Job Title: Loan or Credit Officer (Bilingual English & Mandarin)


Location: First Commercial Bank, Toronto Branch


Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Loan or Credit Officer to join our team at First Commercial Bank, Toronto Branch. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for evaluating loan applications, performing financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with bank regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate loan applications and documentation to ensure compliance with bank regulations and credit policies.
  • Conduct financial analysis and risk assessment to determine creditworthiness of loan applicants.
  • Communicate with loan applicants to obtain additional information or documentation as needed.
  • Prepare and submit loan applications to the Head Office for review and approval.
  • Review and update loan credit reports and files regularly to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure compliance with all approved terms and conditions of loan agreements.
  • Maintain client relationships and monitor business performance and collateral status.
  • Ensure Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements are met for loan clients.
  • Assist with loan disbursement and review matters as needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments within the bank to ensure seamless loan processing.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Business, Accounting, or related field.
  • Over 1 year of banking experience, preferably in credit or loan underwriting.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong command of spoken and written English and Mandarin, with ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.

  • Only Canadian citizens and permanent residents will be considered for this position.
  • First Commercial Bank Toronto Branch is a Schedule III Foreign Bank in Canada, with Head Office in Taiwan.
