Farm Hand Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Farm Hand to join our team at McNary Feed Lot Ltd. As a Farm Hand, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to farm operations, animal care, and equipment maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens, and other work areas
  • Monitor animal health and perform livestock feeding
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
  • Clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens
  • Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock, and poultry
  • Perform general farm duties and examine product for quality and readiness for the market
Requirements:
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Physically demanding work with handling heavy loads and standing for extended periods
  • Organized and efficient interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and quick learner
  • Experience an asset
Working Conditions:
  • Work under pressure and in a physically demanding environment
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and bending
  • Large workload and overtime required
