Job Title: Drywall Finisher

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Finisher to join our team at Aspire Drywall Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for applying successive coats of compound and sanding seams and joints, cutting and installing metal corner beads, and fabricating and installing suspended metal ceiling grids.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures and humidity levels. They will be required to work at heights, in dusty conditions, and in noisy environments.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall finishing
  • Ability to work at heights, in dusty conditions, and in noisy environments
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment
