Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team at Westlund. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials within our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Picking, packing, and shipping customer orders with accuracy and efficiency
  • Receiving and verifying incoming vendor shipments and customer returns
  • Loading and unloading trucks, operating forklifts, and other material handling equipment
  • Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment
  • Collaborating with teammates to achieve exceptional customer service and satisfaction
Requirements
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; college and/or university degree an asset
  • Minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience
  • Outstanding customer service and verbal communication skills
  • Able to develop comprehensive product knowledge
  • Ability to learn to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment
  • Possess a high level of attention to detail and accurately process orders
Preferred Skills
  • Previous experience with or knowledge of Fire Protection and industrial pipe valve and fitting products sold at the Profit Centre
  • Experience using M3, Word, Excel, and Outlook
