About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Attendant to join our team at Athabasca Hotel. As a Housekeeping Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our hotel rooms and public areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture, make beds and change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries, stock linen closet, clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, clean and disinfect elevators, handle and report lost and found items.
  • Guest Services: Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items, provide basic information on facilities, pick up debris and empty trash containers, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, wash windows, walls and ceilings.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns, provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive guest experience.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment, physically demanding, ability to work independently, ability to work under pressure, tight deadlines, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads.
  • Personal Qualities: Punctuality, client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, values and ethics, honesty.
