Role Overview

The Manager of Technical Accounting and Acquisitions will play a crucial role within our Finance Team, collaborating closely with leadership in Finance and Accounting. This position reports directly to the Director of Technical Accounting.

As a vital member of the Accounting and Finance Team, the Manager will serve as a subject matter expert in accounting, supporting our global accounting processes and financial transactions. This role involves the implementation and oversight of our accounting policies and assisting M&A teams with a wide range of technical accounting issues. Responsibilities include aiding in the preparation of financial statements and evaluating complex accounting matters as necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a subject matter expert on U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies.
  • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on the interpretation and application of accounting and finance policies.
  • Assess target financial practices, including historical and projected earnings, cash flows, contingencies, and quality of assets.
  • Facilitate post-deal integration and identify transition issues.
  • Assist in the adoption of new U.S. GAAP accounting standards, coordinating with process owners and developing implementation plans.
  • Support the preparation and review of disclosures in financial statements.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required; CPA and MBA are preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in corporate or public accounting; experience in the cryptocurrency sector is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements; knowledge of IFRS is advantageous.
  • Experience with business combinations, derivatives, and complex financial instruments.
  • Familiarity with complex business processes and controls.
  • Experience leading finance for post-merger integration.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze financial concepts and complex transactions.
  • Capable of working independently and managing priorities for timely results.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across functions.
