We are seeking a qualified and experienced teacher to fill a Long Term Occasional (LTO) position in our Primary Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching SK/Grade 1 students and will work closely with our team to provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Teach SK/Grade 1 students and develop engaging lesson plans to meet their academic and social needs
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement curriculum and assessments
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure student success
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices
- Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture
- Basic qualifications to teach in the Primary Division
- Sound knowledge of the Ontario Curriculum and the Ontario Kindergarten Program
- Experience in teaching Literacy and Numeracy
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of student learning management systems and digital tools
- Additional qualifications in Special Education
- Experience in supporting comprehensive literacy and using student data to drive instruction
- Knowledge of Google Classroom and other G-Suite digital tools
