Work Arrangement:

Hybrid work-from-home option Compensation: $65,000 - $85,000 (flexible based on experience) Baker Tilly promotes progressive labor policies, including:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compile and review client information and prepare working paper files
  • Conduct year-end planning for various clients
  • Supervise engagements and related tax filings in a paperless environment
  • Complete assurance engagements with teams of 1 – 4 members
  • Identify key performance indicators through technology
  • Address and resolve engagement issues
  • Train and mentor junior staff on engagements
  • Prepare Notice to Reader and Review Engagement reports
  • Prepare personal tax returns
  • Ensure client satisfaction with the firm's services
  • Deliver timely, high-quality client service that meets or exceeds expectations
  • Identify and cultivate new service or tax planning opportunities for clients
Qualifications:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
  • 2-3 years of experience in public accounting or a similar finance role
  • CPA designation or in progress is a strong asset
  • Experience managing large engagements
  • Proficient in accounting technology
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting and tax principles
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting software, including Tax Prep, CaseWare, Sage, and QuickBooks
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent leadership qualities, including active listening and clear communication
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • A solid work ethic and a passion for challenges
  • Effective time management and self-motivation in a high-volume environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
  • Commitment to client service excellence
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to continuously develop professional skills and adapt to a dynamic work environment
  • Flexibility to work overtime during peak periods, with compensation for additional hours worked
