The Resident Care Coordinator - Long Term Care Neighborhood Manager is responsible for providing overall leadership and management of the long term care neighborhood. This role requires a strong focus on championing quality care and services, as well as ensuring compliance with federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Resident Care and Services
- Develop and implement plans to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and services to residents.
- Champion the Resident Centered model and ensure its implementation throughout the neighborhood.
- Facilitate the development and implementation of Individualized Care Plans (ICPs) and Daily Assignment Sheets.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care and services provided to residents.
- Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations related to resident care and services.
- Develop and implement plans to correct identified deficiencies in compliance with Sunrise expectations.
- Develop a thorough working knowledge of current and evolving provincial laws and regulations and Sunrise policies and procedures.
- Financial Management
- Assist in the presentation and value of Sunrise's products and services to residents, families, and referral sources.
- Assist in the development and management of the department budget.
- Monitor and manage labor and other expenses to ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines.
- Training, Leadership, and Team Member Development
- Develop and implement plans to ensure the development and growth of team members.
- Provide coaching, performance management, and evaluations to team members.
- Develop and implement plans to ensure compliance with provincial regulations and Sunrise policies and procedures.
- One (1) year experience in assisted living long term care or hospital industries or experience/exposure to the senior population.
- College degree and management experience may be required per provincial requirements.
- One (1) year supervisory and management experience including hiring staff, coaching, performance management, daily operations supervision, discipline, and counseling.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and delegate assignments to team members.
- Competent in organizational and time management skills, written and verbal communication, and problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrates proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel), and Sunrise applications.
