Your Role

As the Crop Inputs Manager, you'll be responsible for managing the development and operation of a profitable crop inputs business. You'll work closely with our customer service representatives and facility staff to ensure that our business is running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grow the volume of the crop inputs business with existing customers and proactively seek out new business opportunities
  • Coach and mentor customer service representatives
  • Take a hands-on approach to the setup and operation of our chemical and fertilizer facilities
  • Monitor market developments and updates to determine competitive price offerings
  • Promote our service programs
  • Manage third-party application for dry floating
  • Develop annual plans and budgets
  • Manage and apply credit and collection programs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a role managing or related to the sale of crop inputs
  • Post-secondary education in an Ag-related, Science, or Business field
  • Certified Crop Advisor, P. Ag., or related designation considered an asset
  • 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory role
  • Thorough knowledge of the crop inputs and grain business
  • Working knowledge of profit and loss statements
  • Ability to network and build relationships while providing excellent customer service
