Job Summary

Excel Freight Solutions is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation: Drive a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods across the country, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Route Planning: Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, ensuring timely delivery and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, as well as perform preventive maintenance to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • License: AZ class license, Air Brakes Endorsement, and Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to sit for long periods, attention to detail, and ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Working Conditions

As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be working on the road, traveling across the country. You will be required to work independently, with minimal supervision, and be able to adapt to changing conditions.
