Work Environment

Our work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring you to work in a dusty and noisy environment. You will be required to work outdoors and in construction settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster to create a smooth and even surface
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Ability to work in a dusty and noisy environment
  • Ability to work outdoors and in construction settings
  • Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
