Job Title: Drywall Finisher

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Finisher to join our team at CANADA INC. As a Drywall Finisher, you will be responsible for applying, leveling, and smoothing coats of plaster to create a smooth and even surface.

Work Environment:

Our work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding. You will be working in a construction setting, exposed to dust and noise. You will be required to work outdoors and may be required to work at heights.

Responsibilities:
  • Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster to create a smooth and even surface.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets.
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall finishing.
  • Ability to work at heights and in a physically demanding environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
