Your Role:

  • Engage in diverse environmental, geoscience, and engineering projects from inception through to construction.
  • Lead or coordinate multi-disciplinary project teams, collaborating effectively with engineers, scientists, and stakeholders, while maintaining clear communication with clients.
  • Conduct sedimentologic assessments, including sediment yield and transport studies.
  • Perform hydrologic evaluations, focusing on flood and drought scenarios, sustainability, and climate change impacts.
  • Execute geomorphic studies related to channel stability, erosion, terrain mapping, and landform analysis.
  • Provide geoscience insights to support the design and evaluation of surface water infrastructure.
  • Analyze coastal geomorphology and develop sustainable strategies addressing natural hazards and human impacts.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and scope adjustments effectively.
  • Prepare tender documentation, including drawings and technical specifications.
  • Offer geoscience support throughout construction phases.
  • Build and maintain positive client relationships.
  • Propose innovative solutions through business development efforts.
  • Guide and mentor junior team members.
  • Collaborate with clients to deliver detailed design and construction support for major water management projects.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Physical Geography or Earth Sciences (Master's or PhD preferred, with a focus on geohazards, sediment transport, and nature-based design).
  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Geoscientist in British Columbia.
  • Proven experience in cultivating client relationships.
  • Minimum of 15 years in water resources or hydrotechnical projects.
  • Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and mentoring skills.
  • Self-motivated with strategic planning capabilities.
  • A collaborative team player who leads by example.
  • High ethical standards and integrity.
  • Ability to produce proposals and technical documentation.
  • Commitment to technical excellence and critical thinking for effective problem-solving.

Compensation:

Expected Salary Range: $84,300 - $116,000

The final salary for this position may vary based on factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skills, and organizational needs.
