Project Controls Lead Overview
The Project Controls Lead is responsible for providing expert oversight and strategic direction in managing intricate project control challenges. This role involves:
- Engaging with clients, participating in strategic meetings, and delivering insightful recommendations to support decision-making processes.
- Advising on the architecture of program coding, ensuring functional integration, and guiding the development of reporting systems.
- Formulating and implementing project control protocols that adhere to best practices in schedule management, cost analysis, risk assessment, and change management.
- Supervising the preparation and ongoing monitoring of the Master Development Schedule.
- Leading a team of Project Control specialists in the analysis of project expenditures and performance metrics.
- Ensuring comprehensive oversight and reporting through Project Management Information Systems (PMIS).
- Customizing project control frameworks and coordinating the staffing of project control teams.
- Conducting performance evaluations and facilitating professional development opportunities for team members.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management is essential.
- A minimum of 10-15 years of pertinent experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
- A robust background in cost management complemented by foundational engineering knowledge.
- Proficiency in Project Controls Software and the Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a supervisory role with a solid understanding of industry standards.
- Possession of a Secret clearance or the capability to obtain one is necessary.
