Job Title: Energy Engineer II

At BGIS, we are seeking an experienced Energy Engineer II to join our team. As a key member of our energy management team, you will be responsible for managing and implementing energy management projects for our clients' corporate real estate and operations portfolios.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage and implement energy management projects, including energy audits, energy efficiency measures, and energy conservation initiatives.
  • Work closely with facility managers, maintenance supervisors, project specialists, finance, contractors, consultants, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and implement energy efficiency programs, including energy benchmarking, energy analytics, and energy optimization strategies.
  • Conduct energy assessments, energy audits, and energy efficiency measure development.
  • Manage energy-related projects from concept inception to implementation, including feasibility studies, design development, tendering, construction, and commissioning.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Conduct energy audits to identify energy-saving opportunities and develop energy efficiency measures.
  • Lead the development and execution of energy-saving projects, including energy retrofit projects and energy conservation initiatives.
  • Develop and implement energy management plans, including energy benchmarking, energy analytics, and energy optimization strategies.
  • Collaborate with facility managers and maintenance supervisors to ensure optimal building performance and energy efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain a building improvement tracking system to monitor energy performance and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • University degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and Professional Engineer Designation.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in energy management, with a thorough background in utility markets, building optimization/controls, and building systems.
  • Project management experience related to energy retrofits or programs.
  • Experience in conducting measurement and verification per IPMVP.
  • Sound knowledge of economic analysis tools, including life-cycle cost analysis, ROI, NPV, and payback.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work with people across multiple disciplines.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills, with attention to detail and a professional approach.
What We Offer:

At BGIS, we offer a competitive salary range of $90,246 - $112,807 per annum, based on the successful candidate's competencies, including experience, education, and performance related to this role.
