Position Title: Junior Laboratory Analyst
Reports to: Laboratory Supervisor / Laboratory Manager
Department: ENVIRONMENTAL
Employment Type: Full-Time Contract
Primary Objective:
- Generate precise analytical results in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Conduct intricate sample preparation tasks
- Guarantee accuracy and promptness in results
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and review daily assignments utilizing LIMS reports
- Adhere to SOPs for sample preparation and analysis
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments
- Fulfill quality and turnaround time (TAT) requirements
- Engage in procedure development and training initiatives
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of sample handling protocols
- Familiarity with laboratory safety practices
- Exceptional manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with effective time management abilities
- Proficient computer skills
- Positive demeanor and capability to thrive in a fast-paced setting
Work Environment:
- Dynamic laboratory setting with adaptable hours
- May require prolonged standing and lifting of materials up to 40 lbs
- Adhere to safety protocols for managing hazardous substances
