About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Pioneer Cruises. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods for our passengers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation: Develop and implement menus that cater to diverse tastes and dietary requirements.
  • Culinary Operations: Supervise and coordinate kitchen activities, ensuring efficient and safe food preparation and presentation.
  • Staff Training and Development: Train and mentor kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling techniques.
  • Inventory Management: Order and manage kitchen supplies and equipment to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Quality Control: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with varying locations and ship-based assignments.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding role requiring standing for extended periods, handling heavy loads, and working under pressure.
