We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Pioneer Cruises. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods for our passengers.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Service: Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including special meals for passengers with dietary restrictions.
- Kitchen Management: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, ensuring that all food preparation and service areas are clean and well-maintained.
- Supply Chain Management: Order supplies and equipment as needed to maintain a well-stocked kitchen.
- Team Leadership: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and provide guidance and support as needed.
- Quality Control: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that all food is prepared and served to the highest standards.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Work Setting: Various locations, including ships.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and work in a fast-paced environment.
