Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team at MHRP/MPRH. As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a key role in providing daily support for our financial management by handling various tasks related to accounts, payables, receivables, budget preparation, and other financial reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily support for financial management by handling various tasks related to accounts, payables, receivables, budget preparation, and other financial reports.
  • Collaborate with the accounting and finance team to effectively contribute to the department's goals.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, statements, and other documents as required.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and databases.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, laws, and standards.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to other departments as needed.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary diploma in a relevant field (e.g. accounting, finance, business administration).
  • At least five (5) years of relevant experience in a related field.
  • Proficient in the full accounting cycle, accounting principles, and current practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
  • Skilled in various office (Microsoft Office Suite) and financial software.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingualism (English and French) spoken and written.
  • Experience with financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Knowledge of financial software and systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle).
  • Certifications in accounting or finance (e.g. CPA, CMA).
