Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Barricade Personnel to join our team at Wells Construction, a division of Lafarge Canada Inc. As a Barricade Personnel, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our workers and the general public during road construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain safe working conditions on construction sites
  • Set up and tear down traffic controls to ensure smooth traffic flow
  • Operate heavy-duty equipment, including double axle trucks and tractor trailers
  • Assist in barricading and traffic control set-ups and tear-downs
  • Meet physical demands of the job, including manual labor
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Interpret and understand TAS plans for traffic set-ups

Requirements

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Knowledge of traffic safety and traffic flow
  • Ability to operate heavy-duty equipment
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
