Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at Winstar Transport Ltd. As a Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal parts and products using various welding techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welding and Fabrication
    • Interpret and execute welding process specifications to ensure high-quality welds.
    • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
    • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Maintenance and Repair
    • Examine welds to ensure they meet standards and specifications.
    • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
  • Operational Support
    • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment to move materials and equipment.
    • Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
    • Operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations, and seams of metal.
  • Production Line Support
    • Start up, shut down, adjust, and monitor robotic welding production lines.
  • Language and Communication
    • Work in a team environment with English-speaking colleagues.
  • Work Environment
    • Work 35 hours per week in a fast-paced production environment.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in welding and fabrication.
