Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our Construction Management team. The successful candidate will assist the Project Manager in planning, executing, and finalizing construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Manager in planning, executing, and finalizing construction projects.
  • Maintain detailed project schedules, including milestones, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with contractors to ensure all aspects of the project are aligned.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, schedules, reports, and meeting minutes.
  • Track and report on project progress, including costs, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Ensure that all project documents are properly stored and accessible.
  • Assist the Project Manager in preparation of discovery documents for legal claims, if applicable.
  • Prepare and track tendering packages sent to contractors.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related communications.
  • Facilitate regular meetings with Project Manager to discuss progress, address issues, and ensure alignment.
  • Communicate with contractors with respect to providing bids for our projects.
  • Monitor and address any issues or obstacles that may impact project timelines or quality.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • The ability to read and understand all drawing disciplines.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project).
  • Knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in construction project coordination in Canada.
