Job Title: General Manager - Trucking Company

Gorilla Transport is seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our trucking operations. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our transportation department, ensuring the efficient and safe movement of goods across our network.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Management: Supervise a team of 3-4 people and provide guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary resources and tools to perform their duties effectively.
  • Operational Planning: Develop and implement operational plans to optimize our transportation network, including route planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Financial Management: Establish and manage budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Customer Service: Foster strong relationships with our customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded through excellent service and communication.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and company policies, identifying and mitigating potential risks to the organization.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, logistics, or transportation.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a leadership or management role within the transportation industry.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
