Position Overview

As a Purchasing Officer at PIIC Inc, you will play a crucial role in managing the procurement process to ensure the organization acquires the necessary resources efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education: College/CEGEP
  • Experience: Previous experience in procurement is an asset.
Primary Duties
  • Procure general and specialized equipment, materials, or business services.
  • Evaluate the needs of the organization to formulate specifications for required equipment, materials, and supplies.
  • Develop precise specifications for items to be acquired.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers.
  • Engage in consultations with suppliers to ensure optimal procurement.
  • Review and assess quotations received from vendors.
  • Establish contract terms and conditions.
  • Assign contracts to suitable vendors.
  • Coordinate delivery schedules to meet operational needs.
  • Monitor the progress of deliveries to ensure timely fulfillment.
  • Address and resolve issues with clients and suppliers as they arise.
  • Plan, organize, and oversee the logistical operations of the organization.
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the procurement process.
Qualifications
  • Specialization: Business sales and services, with a focus on negotiation skills.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work under pressure with a keen attention to detail.
  • Personal Attributes: Strong interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication abilities.
