Position Overview

NPAworldwide is seeking a DIRECTOR OF MARKETING to oversee marketing initiatives across Canada and the USA, specifically within the heavy equipment sector. EXPERIENCE IN HEAVY EQUIPMENT IS ESSENTIAL

The Director of Marketing will play a pivotal role in crafting and implementing strategic marketing plans that enhance brand visibility, engage customers, and drive revenue growth across various divisions. This position entails managing all facets of branding, positioning, and messaging to maintain consistency and strengthen brand value. The Director will spearhead market research and competitive analysis to uncover opportunities and trends while directing multi-channel marketing campaigns. Furthermore, this individual will guide and nurture a high-performing marketing team, oversee the marketing budget, and evaluate performance metrics. Collaboration with diverse internal departments is crucial to ensure unified marketing efforts. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Marketing and Business Strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead and cultivate a marketing team, promoting a collaborative and innovative atmosphere.
  2. Oversee the branding, positioning, and messaging strategies for all business divisions.
  3. Enhance and evolve the brands within the FS Aftermarket division.
  4. Formulate and execute marketing strategies and plans for each division that align with the company’s overarching goals.
  5. Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify customer needs and market trends.
  6. Track, analyze, and report on key marketing performance indicators, providing insights into market research, forecasts, competitor analysis, campaign outcomes, and consumer trends.
  7. Adapt marketing strategies based on performance data and contribute unique insights to the overall business strategy.
  8. Manage the marketing budget effectively, ensuring optimal resource allocation and return on investment.
  9. Present the annual marketing plan to key stakeholders and senior management.
  10. Collaborate with internal and external partners on various projects and objectives.
  11. Provide insightful analytics and evaluations of past marketing initiatives.
  12. Oversee project timelines and ensure priorities are met.
  13. Plan and implement product launches and promotional campaigns.
  14. Work alongside the sales team to create sales enablement materials and strategies.
  15. Manage public relations initiatives and opportunities.
  16. Ensure compliance of all marketing activities with legal and regulatory standards.
  17. Perform additional duties as assigned.

This role includes 2 direct reports and 4-5 indirect reports, with a requirement for cross-border travel (approximately 15% travel).

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business marketing, public relations, communications, or a related discipline; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
  • Possession of a valid passport or willingness to obtain one.
  • 10+ years of marketing experience.
  • 5+ years in a leadership role managing multiple brands or business units.
  • 5+ years of experience in various marketing forms, including digital, social media, content creation, print, graphic design, and direct mail.
  • Experience managing a substantial marketing budget.
  • Demonstrated success in analyzing, developing, and executing effective marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Advanced proficiency with various digital platforms, including WordPress, Google Analytics, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), CRM systems, Asana or similar project management tools, Hubspot, Canva, and Hootsuite.
