Job Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Manager of Interprofessional Practice, the Staff Occupational Therapist will assume responsibility for the development, scheduling, coordinating and developing of occupational therapy services to a unit or designated area.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and implement occupational therapy services to meet the needs of patients and clients.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure effective care delivery.
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans to promote patient independence and well-being.
  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and healthcare staff on occupational therapy principles and practices.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and services.
Requirements

**Education:**

  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapy

**Licenses:**

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license

**Other Education and Training:**

  • Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)

**Other Information:**

  • Registered/eligible with Canadian Association of Occupational Therapy (CAOT)
  • Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan Society of Occupational Therapists
  • Preference to HSAS members as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement
