About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic to join our team at JERUSAN LOGISTICS INC. as a Diesel Engine Specialist. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet of trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Test Mechanical Units: Conduct thorough inspections and tests to identify faults and malfunctions in truck-trailer systems.
  • Repair and Maintain Vehicles: Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Estimate and Manage Costs: Accurately estimate parts and labor costs for maintenance and repairs, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Communicate effectively with customers, advising them on work performed and future repair requirements.
  • Record and Report Work: Maintain accurate records of problems and work performed, providing valuable insights for future maintenance and improvement.
Requirements
  • Education and Certifications: Possess a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and relevant trade certifications, such as Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification.
  • Area of Specialization: Have expertise in engine repair, 4-wheel drive, electrical and electronic systems, diesel engines, diagnostics, brake systems, hydraulic systems, fuel and emission systems, and auto body repair.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Be able to work in a fast-paced environment, withstanding physical demands such as standing for extended periods and manual dexterity.
  • Personal Suitability: Demonstrate accurate, client-focused, dependable, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, judgment, reliability, and teamwork skills.
