Description

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Senior Systems RAMS Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The role will be located in a dynamic and collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure the organisation, scheduling, implementation and monitoring of the project RAMS and V&V activities and ensure compliance with project budget, schedule and quality requirements.
  2. Ensure system safety and reliability requirements.
  3. Define and apply the Project V&V governance strategy and guidelines for the integrated System and for any relevant subsystem/product, verifying the related implementation through V&V Plan review and approval.
  4. Issue project RAMS documentation.
  5. Execute and issue all project RAMS activities and deliverables, interfacing with Project Management, Engineering and other departments as required, ensuring information flow to/from the project RAMS team.
  6. Execute and share communication to the Project Manager of the following activities:
    1. Workload management with periodic workload updates and analysis of deviations;
    2. Critical path management and alignment of RAMS schedule with project master schedule, to avoid unplanned interruption of activities in RAMS stream;
    3. Proactive risk management for early detection of cost, schedule, technical and resource issues and proposal of recovery plans.
  7. Supported by the assigned RAMS WPLs, estimate RAMS activities and ensure V&V activities estimation and agree with the Project Manager and the controller the relevant budget.
  8. Ensure the safety assessment (ISA) certification (NoBo).
  9. Support preparation of bids and proposals.
  10. Provide schedule and cost constraints to relevant Product, Signalling and System RAMS Engineers.

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  1. Over 5 years' RAMS experience
  2. V&V Processes & techniques knowledge
  3. RAMS analysis & methodology
  4. International & National standards
  5. RAM/Safety Management experience
  6. System Technical knowledge
  7. Subsystem Technical knowledge
  8. Project Management skills

Desired Skills:

  1. Project Management or Project Engineering Experience a plus

Education:

  1. Bachelor Degree preferred or equivalent technical experience

Languages:

  1. English Proficiency

Clear criminal Background Check required.
