Position Overview:

The Facilities Support Technician will serve as a vital resource for maintenance operations, minor project execution, and building service assistance within the organization.

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, this role involves collaborating with various teams to coordinate maintenance initiatives across multiple locations. The Facilities Support Technician will play a key role in enhancing facility conditions, ensuring that all projects align with our commitment to a safe and efficient environment.

This position will primarily focus on supporting the main facility, while also providing assistance to other sites as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the management of facility maintenance projects.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Promote safety and health standards within the workplace.
  • Engage in problem-solving and critical thinking to address facility-related challenges.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred post-secondary education in a relevant field such as building science or facility management.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years in a maintenance or facility support role.
  • Experience managing multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and quality assurance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform physical tasks and work in various environments.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license for travel between sites.
