Black & McDonald Limited is seeking a highly skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our building maintenance team, you will be responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of various HVAC equipment, including rooftop units, air handling units, refrigeration equipment, and more.
Key Responsibilities- Equipment Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure all HVAC equipment is in safe and proper working condition.
- Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment, including rooftop units, heat pumps, air handling units, fans, humidifiers, pumps, VAV boxes, motors, refrigerators, and freezers.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate documentation and records of maintenance activities, including drawings, specifications, and O&M manuals.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, responding to environment comfort complaints and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve maintenance goals and objectives.
- Education: Successful completion of a recognized HVAC and/or refrigeration certificate with B or A gas ticket for the province of Manitoba.
- Experience: Five to seven years of experience in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of diverse HVAC service issues.
- Skills and Abilities: Good analytical skills and attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to mechanical equipment and potentially hazardous conditions. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
