Job Title: Truck Driver

CH Logistics is seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently across various routes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Route Planning: Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Customer Service: Provide professional customer service to ensure timely and safe delivery of goods.
  • Teamwork: Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy to ensure smooth transportation of goods.
  • Load and Unload: Load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
  • Permits and Documents: Obtain special permits and documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Inspections and Logs: Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate records and logs.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch and record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo through tarping and other measures.
Requirements:
  • Certifications: Hold an AZ class license.
  • Documentation: Be familiar with accident or incident reports, driver logbooks, inspection reports, maintenance and repair reports, and trans-border documentation.
  • Communication Systems: Operate GPS and other navigation equipment.
  • Transportation Experience: Have experience in international and national transportation.
  • Security and Safety: Have a clean driving record and pass a drug test.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Be able to handle heavy loads, work in a fast-paced environment, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Personal Suitability: Possess efficient interpersonal skills, judgment, organization, teamwork, hard work, patience, and a welcoming attitude towards diversity and inclusion.
