Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute routine and specialized cleaning tasks throughout the facility, including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Ensure a safe environment by adhering to accident prevention protocols and being knowledgeable about emergency procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in work areas, including the organization of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Utilize infection control measures effectively.
  • Report any significant changes in resident behavior or concerns to nursing staff as necessary.
  • Participate in community and educational initiatives.
  • Collaborate positively with team members and supervisors.
  • Perform additional related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of Grade 10 or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • WHMIS Certification.
  • First Aid Certification as applicable.
  • Must be free from communicable diseases and allergies that may be aggravated by cleaning agents.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English, with the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Successful candidates must pass a vulnerable sector Criminal Record Check as per provincial guidelines.
  • Physically capable of performing repetitive tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
