As a Senior Cloud Solutions Engineer, you will be integral in architecting, executing, and sustaining resilient infrastructure solutions that underpin all of How 2 Drive's offerings. Your expertise will be crucial in scaling How 2 Drive's platform to accommodate worldwide demand while ensuring reliability and operational continuity. Collaborating with engineering teams, you will develop cloud-native solutions designed for global scalability. Your vast experience and technical acumen will significantly influence the evolution of our cutting-edge products.

This role offers flexibility for remote work arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee and enhance our container orchestration systems to support our customer platform utilizing Kubernetes (EKS), ECS, and Lambda.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines with a promotion-based model using GitHub Actions.
- Utilize your knowledge of infrastructure-as-code frameworks such as CDK, Terraform, and Pulumi to manage infrastructure with CI/CD practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect and design robust and scalable API solutions in AWS that cater to both present and future requirements.
- Take ownership of the architecture and development of system components to enhance monitoring, alerting, and stability while prioritizing compliance and security (Datadog and PagerDuty).
- Apply your expert understanding of WAF and Zero-Trust solutions, including AWS WAF and Cloudflare, to safeguard our products.
- Work alongside security teams to implement and uphold strong security protocols, including vulnerability assessments and risk management.
- Mentor and guide junior DevOps team members, fostering best practices and knowledge sharing.
- Utilize performance and load testing tools to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, optimizing backend services for efficiency and speed.
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response to guarantee 24/7 system availability.

Qualifications:

- 8+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering (DevOps/SRE) with a focus on designing production systems in public cloud environments (AWS preferred, GCP, or Azure).
- Strong Incident Management capabilities to adeptly navigate and lead incidents, ensuring platform uptime.
- Proficient in programming and scripting languages such as Python, Go, and TypeScript.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and adaptability to a fast-paced startup environment.

- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or related certifications.
- Experience managing Web3/Crypto infrastructure.
- Previous experience in a startup setting.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and RESTful API design.

- Canada: $200K-$250K CAD
- New York City: $200K-$250K USD
