YMCA of Greater Vancouver is seeking a passionate and creative Digital Content Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in shaping our online presence and engaging with our diverse community.

As a Digital Content Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and executing compelling digital content strategies across various platforms, including the web, social media, and internal communication channels. Your expertise in content creation, editing, and storytelling will be instrumental in raising awareness about YMCA programs and services, fostering community engagement, and promoting our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging digital content strategies aligned with YMCA's brand identity and goals.
  • Create high-quality written, visual, and multimedia content for various platforms, including websites, blogs, social media channels, and internal newsletters.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather information, understand target audiences, and ensure content accuracy and relevance.
  • Manage and update website content, ensuring it is user-friendly, informative, and optimized for search engines.
  • Track and analyze digital content performance, using data insights to refine strategies and improve engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in developing and executing successful digital content strategies.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a strong understanding of grammar and style guidelines.
  • Proficiency in using various content management systems (CMS) and social media platforms.
  • Strong visual communication skills and experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Canva).
  • Collaborative with a customer-focused, positive attitude and a willingness to learn new skills.
  • A self-starter with the ability to initiate projects and see them through to completion.
  • Ability to adapt and work through ambiguity, changing priorities, and juggle multiple demands with competing timelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound judgments and decisions and create action plans based on information discovered.
  • Creative problem solver, with the ability to think outside the box.
  • Excellent organizational skills with great attention to detail.
