  • Assess, evaluate, and document the business, functional, and data requirements of our stakeholders.
  • Develop solutions, facilitate the execution of data solutions, and compose functional data integration specifications for development teams, detailing system behaviors, use cases, and user interactions.
  • Contribute to the formulation of development strategies, testing procedures, and their automation.
  • Engage in the creation of robust and reliable solutions for various requests.
  • Bridge the gap between business requirements and technological solutions.
  • Examine data, partake in comprehensive testing, and suggest enhancements and corrections to ensure data quality.
  • Guarantee adherence to data security and privacy regulations.
  • Comprehend existing processes and define target processes by collaborating closely with multiple stakeholders.
  • Assist the solution and data architect in the completion of data architecture deliverables.

Your Team

The IT department comprises over 2,300 proactive and collaborative professionals who work with agility to capitalize on opportunities, remain at the forefront of technology, and continuously enhance our processes.

Within the Technology and Operations sector, you will be part of a forward-thinking team of 12 colleagues and report to the Senior Director of IT Delivery for the regulatory portfolio. Our team is distinguished by its cross-functional approach, which provides ample opportunities for collaboration across various sectors, and its strong commitment to enhancing both customer and employee experiences by delivering projects that ensure compliance with diverse provincial and federal legislative requirements.

Prerequisites

  • University degree relevant to the industry and a minimum of 5 years of pertinent experience.
  • Practical experience with Agile development and delivery methodologies.
  • Familiarity with data modeling techniques and tools (ERWIN, LucidChart, etc.) and business architecture (using notations such as UML, C4).
  • Experience in data integrations utilizing API-based integration patterns and event flows (Kafka, ETL).
  • Knowledge of AWS and Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.).
  • Experience with tools for making REST calls (Postman, ThunderClient, ReadyAPI, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Java and familiarity with Terraform pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Action) is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience in business, functional, technical, and application analysis within a complex organization.
  • Hands-on experience with quality assurance testing.
  • Experience in a banking context is preferred.
