We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Buyer to join our team at Trapper Trading Post. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing merchandise for resale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Sourcing: Identify and select high-quality products that meet our customers' needs and expectations.
  • Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of merchandise.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of merchandise to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Price Negotiation: Negotiate prices, discounts, and credit terms with suppliers to maximize value for our business.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to our internal stakeholders, including sales teams and warehouse staff.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to stay up-to-date on industry trends and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and logistics, to ensure seamless execution of procurement activities.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 30-hour workweek. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and business results.
